How are survey Tools developed and tested?

We develop survey Tools in partnership with youth organizations nationwide. We engage young people, children, and staff in a feedback process to develop both the questions and the response categories. Each of our tools has been tested and used by thousands of program participants in organizations serving various populations (age groups, gender identities, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds). We continuously analyze items, set benchmarks, and determine recommendations, ensuring that the instruments are culturally responsive with no bias. We also regularly engage staff and program participants in making meaning sessions that allow us to learn together and make improvements.
